Job description:

Marvel Manufacturing is a growing precision CNC machine shop in Lewiston, ID. Our business is serving people not just making parts (“People first, Parts included”). We offer multi-axis turning, Swiss machining, milling, and 5-axis machining with a focus on medium volume production of small to medium sized parts.

This position is crucial to growing Marvel Manufacturing’s capacity to serve current customers and attain new customers. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced machinist to utilize their skills in a growing small shop environment. The ideal applicant is self-motivated and willing to perform a variety of duties.

Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate CNC lathes and mills

• Program and edit parts within Fusion 360

• Inspect parts to ensure they are within tolerance and meet customer requirements

• Saw and prep material

• Maintain a safe working environment

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED

• Successful completion of Machine Technology Program or Machinist Apprenticeship

• Proficient at operating CNC machine tools

• Able to read and interpret blueprints

• Proficient in basic computer functions

• Able to thrive in a high pace production enviornment

 

Experience:

 

Machinist I $22-28 (DOE)

• 1 year or no experience if employee has completed a high school or college level machining program

• Operating CNC machine tools

• Reading blueprints and inspecting parts with precision measuring instruments

 

Machinist II $26-32 (DOE)

• 2 years or 1 years if employee has completed a high school or college level machining program

• Setup and operation of CNC machine tools

• Performing tool and work offsets to maintain tolerances

• Reading blueprints and inspecting parts with precision measuring instruments

• Some CNC Programming and editing experience

 

Machinist III $30-$38 (DOE)

• 4 years or 3 years if employee has completed a high school or college level machining program

• Setup and operation of CNC machine tools

• Performing tool and work offsets to maintain tolerances

• Reading blueprints and inspecting parts with precision measuring instruments

• Creating fixtures for setups

• CAM Programming experience required (Fusion 360 preferred)

 

*Qualifications and experience listed are preferred but applicants with other suitable attributes may be considered.

 

**Wages will be determined based on a candidate's proficiency in the qualifications listed above, as well as their ability to independently execute each job function.
